Recommendations for citing and referencing the Glossary of Meteorology
If cited within the body of the manuscript, the citation should read:
American Meteorological Society (yyyy)
The acronym AMS could be used if already defined within the paper; the year (yyyy) is the current year cited when the paper was accepted for publication.
In the reference section:
American Meteorological Society, cited yyyy: "Term". Glossary of Meteorology. [Available online at http://glossary.ametsoc.org/wiki/”term”]
Where “term” is the actual term referenced. Again the year (yyyy) is the current year cited when the paper was accepted for publication.
Example for the term "climatology":
American Meteorological Society, cited 2015: Climatology. Glossary of Meteorology. [Available online at http://glossary.ametsoc.org/wiki/climatology.]
