Kamchatka Current

(Also known as the East Kamchatka Current.) The western part of the subpolar gyre in the deep (western) part of the Bering Sea.

It flows southward along the Kamchatka Peninsula with speeds of 0.2–0.3 m s^-1. Most of its water leaves the Bering Sea and forms one of the two sources of the Oyashio.
