Mindanao Eddy

A recirculation system between the North Equatorial Current and the North Equatorial Countercurrent in the extreme west of the Pacific Ocean, east of Mindanao.

The circulation is counterclockwise, about 800 km in diameter, and reaches to a depth of 250 m. Its western part forms the Mindanao Current.
