fallout winds

Those tropospheric winds that carry radioactive fallout materials (primarily materials produced by atmospheric tests of nuclear weapons).

These winds are observed by standard winds-aloft observation techniques. Fallout winds are used to construct radioactive fallout plots and ground fallout plots.
