Bayesian method

A framework for statistical inference in which probability is viewed as the quantitative expression of subjective degree of belief, in contrast to the more familiar frequentist approach in which probability is defined as long-run relative frequency. The Bayesian view of probability allows probabilities and statistical inferences to be updated in light of new data or information using Bayes’s theorem.
