Flux adjustment

flux adjustment

In climate modeling, the practice of modifying the fluxes (of heat and water) between the atmosphere and ocean in coupled atmosphere–ocean models.

This modification is designed to minimize the climate drift that occurs during model integration. These flux adjustments are typically a function of location and season.
