Eulerian wind
From Glossary of Meteorology
Eulerian wind
In the classification of Jeffreys, a wind motion only in response to the pressure force.
In symbols, where v is the horizontal velocity, α the specific volume, ∇H the horizontal del operator, and p the pressure. The cyclostrophic wind is a special case of the Eulerian wind, which is limited in its meteorological applicability to those situations in which the Coriolis effect is negligible.
