Inadvertent cloud modification

From Glossary of Meteorology

inadvertent cloud modification

Unintentional changes of clouds due to anthropogenic activities.

It has been argued that the release of cloud condensation nuclei worldwide by aircraft, industrial, and agricultural activities may lead to changes of cloud albedo both at cirrus levels and in boundary layer stratus/stratocumulus, thus influencing the earth's radiation balance and overall climate.
