ponente

A west wind on the Côte d'Azur (French Mediterranean coast), the northern Roussillon region, and Corsica.

On the Côte d'Azur it is a weakened mistral and brings clear skies. In northern Roussillon it is the land breeze of early morning, changing to southeast during the day, and generally preceding the tramontana.
