revised local reference
A datum level defined by the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level for each station, relative to which the mean sea level is approximately 7 m above.
Measurements at the location, over different periods, and to different tide gauge benchmarks are all related to this defined datum. The value of 7 m was chosen to avoid confusion with other local datum definitions.
