Subtropical easterlies index

subtropical easterlies index
A measure of the strength of the easterly surface wind between the latitudes of 20° and 35°N.
The index is computed from the average sea level pressure difference between these latitudes and is expressed as the east to west component of the corresponding geostrophic wind to the tenth of a meter per second.
