Weather warning

weather warning

A hydrometeorological message issued to provide appropriate information of hazardous and potentially life-threatening weather conditions.

Examples of weather warnings include tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm warnings, flood and flash flood warnings, special marine warnings, fire weather red flag warnings, and winter storm warnings.
